Compliance & Data Transparency

Privacy Policy

Last Updated & Effective Date: October 12, 2026 • BestUtilities.org

1. Overview & Commitment to Privacy

At BestUtilities.org ("we", "our", or "the Service"), user privacy and data minimization are fundamental principles of our engineering architecture. We provide web utilities designed to operate without requiring user registration, personal identity submission, or invasive tracking scripts.

This Privacy Policy document outlines the types of information gathered and recorded by BestUtilities.org, how it is processed, and our compliance with global privacy regulations, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), and Google AdSense publisher policies.

2. Temporary Email Utility & Ephemeral Data Disposal

When utilizing our Temporary Email Utility (/temp-email):

  • Ephemeral Lifetime: Generated mailboxes exist strictly for a transient lifespan of between 3 and 7 days.
  • Automated Database Pruning: Upon expiration of the designated Time-to-Live (TTL), automated server-side cron workers execute permanent deletion routines across all virtual aliases and relational database tables (including MariaDB / iRedMail storage pools).
  • Zero Persistent Message Storage: Received email MIME contents, attachments, and metadata are wiped permanently upon mailbox expiry. No historical archives or message backups are retained.
  • Public Inbox Nature: Because temporary mail addresses are disposable and unauthenticated, users must never transmit or receive sensitive passwords, financial details, or government-issued identification numbers through this utility.

3. Google AdSense & Advertising Cookies Disclosure

BestUtilities.org displays advertisements served by third-party advertising partners, principally Google AdSense.

Google, as a third-party vendor, uses cookies to serve ads on our site:

  • Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to our users based on their visit to our sites and/or other sites on the Internet.
  • Users may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings or via aboutads.info.
  • Third-party ad servers or ad networks use technology in their respective advertisements and links that appear on BestUtilities.org, which are sent directly to users' browsers. They automatically receive your IP address when this occurs.

4. Web Server Log Files & Technical Analytics

Like virtually all online web services, BestUtilities.org follows a standard protocol of using log files. These log files record visitors when they access website endpoints. The information collected by log files includes internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser user-agent, Internet Service Provider (ISP), date/time stamps, referring/exit pages, and possibly the number of clicks.

These logs are non-personally identifiable and are utilized exclusively for analyzing trends, administering infrastructure, mitigating DDoS and spam attacks, and ensuring optimal server availability. Technical logs are purged within a 30-day rolling window.

5. GDPR Data Protection Rights

If you are a resident of the European Economic Area (EEA), you possess defined rights under the General Data Protection Regulation:

  • The right to access, rectify, or erase any personal information we process.
  • The right to restrict or object to the processing of your data.
  • The right to data portability.

Because we do not maintain persistent user accounts, the most direct mechanism to exercise data deletion is to trigger the instantaneous mailbox purge button in the UI or allow the automated TTL expiration to run.
